Level I: (8 hour citation training course requires the instructor to briefly cover the following areas from the Student workbook and have the technician perform lab assignments:

Module I:    Subject areas that currently apply to the program (pp. 1-6): lab assignments: have students answer 10 selected review questions from pp 1-6
Module II:   Unit 5, (9. 31-32); lab assignments: answer all questions 1-11 pp. 32-33)
Module III:  Page 51; lab assignments: answer all questions (pp. 52-60)
Module IV:  Units 1-5 (pp. 63-75) and appropriate sections of the current Smog Check Manual: lab assignments: answer all questions (pp. 65-75)
Module V:    Units 1-3 (pp. 79-87; lab assignments: answer all questions (pp. 82, 84-87)

Lab Assignment: Correctly perform full smog inspections on three vehicles, using the appropriate emission inspection system.


Module II:    Unit 4, (p. 27-28; lab assignments: answer questions 1-4 (p. 29) Unit 10, (p. 45); lab assignments: answer questions 1-9 (pp. 45-46)

Lab Assignment: Correctly perform full smog inspections on a total of six vehicles, using the appropriate emission inspection system.

Level III: (48 hours min.) citation training course requires the technician to complete the Basic CACC.
