SMOG TECHNICIAN UPDATE TRAINING
The course is designed to address common misunderstandings technicians
have regarding the Smog Check program. In addition, the course will
cover new material in the Smog Check Inspection Manual (Revision 6).
The course will use a BAR-produced video to address common
misunderstandings regarding smog inspection procedures. Additionally,
the course instructors will conduct group discussions to address
problems, and identify questions the technicians have regarding the
program. Instructors will contact BAR for answers to questions
identified during the course discussion. BAR will make the answer
available to all BAR instructors, to aid future training courses.

· Bureau of Automotive Repair, Laws and
Regulations Relating to Automotive Repair Dealers, Licensed Official
Stations, and Licensed Smog Check Stations (Laws and Regs.) book, dated
December 2001
· Final (open book) examination
CLASS FEE:
Total class fee: $150
Hours of Instruction: Update training class is scheduled to
last a maximum of eight hours. Class will begin at 8am
To obtain a certificate of completion each student must attend all
lecture & lab hours and obtain a score of at least 70% on the open
book final.
Written notice must be delivered to Bryant Automotive at 2354 Churn
Creek Rd by mail or in person prior to the first day of
instruction or during the first hour of instruction to apply for a full
refund minus a $25 registration fee.
